I am near completion of a sympathetic restoration off a dawes fleur 5 speed ladies racer.The chain is obviously too short as when the bike is in first gear the bottom part of the derailliur is facing forewards,this is causing the chain to unship from the front ring.I have ordered a new chain,but how do i calculate the right number of links.
