Chainset replacement - advice sought

My Surosa has a 105 ten speed chainset (its a triple) with a 12 - 27 configuration. As i'm about a year into this now, I now feel I never really need the what appears to me to be a massive high end ring, and wonder if the a different configuration would help now that hills are no longer frightening, and i'm shortly heading to the hills of northern Spain where possibly the smallest gear available would help me even more.

TIA, Neil

ps, an 11-28 is the best I can find with a smaller gear - can you order custom sets ..... eg 14 -30 ??

Check out SRAM rather than 105, they do better quality cassettes in better ranges IMO. I changed my 12-25 105 cassette to an 11-26 SRAM Cassettes and I've changed the shimano cassettes on my other bikes to SRAM too. They do what I think is a great range to an 11-32 road cassette (SRAM Apex) but you'd probably need a new deraileur to accommodate that, as with any cassette large than 28t.
