after finishing todays race (cat2/3), i can confirm that my 10 sp 105, shifted and braked when i asked it too. the problem was happening when in the gear. my legs didnt like the effort required. so i'm gonna upgrade when they are worn. crisper shifting wont win me anything.

That's what I had heard too. I notice a difference 105 10 to Ultegra 11, but then that's a fair step up. 105 11 is based on Ultegra 11 so should be more similar.

Sram red is the way to go for light weight, can pretty much gaurentee youll prefer the shifting method too

I've never used SRAM, but from what I've heard from those who have it's like Marmite - you either love it or hate it.
