changing threaded headset to threadless?

I have an older 1 inch threaded headset, I fancy the idea of changing my forks and also changing to a threadless system, is it do-able?

You would need a 1" threadless fork and replace the pressed in cups in the frame will need to be changed to suit your new headset. You will also require a new stem and possibly handlebars, depending on whether or not you can get a threadless stem to suit your old ones.

If the forks & headset are serviceable, you can get an adapter "quill" so you can fit modern stem and h/bars.

Mine has been changed from threaded to threadless works fine.
