Changing username on Youtube but not Gmail account

Is there a way to set a different name on Youtube without causing it to change on your Gmail account?

Set up a new Gmail account just for YouTube.

Nope I can't do that. But thanks for the the suggestion.

I already have 3 Gmail accounts and I'm trying to get rid of 2. I don't want to be switching back and forth between accounts all the time.
