I just wanted to say that you were bloody nice and it was great (but unusual!) to have a chat at the red traffic lights we encountered. Very rare for people to do that so it was quite refreshing.

You also indicated frequently, which I appreciate(d).

It may not seem much but the Commuting forum is not exactly replete with heartwarming tales!

Do you know who it was? a few of us here use CS7 regularly and are always up for a chat

No I don't! I didn't get round to asking his name or whether or not he used CC (although, oddly, I did think of asking at the time...). He did say that he only cycled as a means of commuting. It was probably around 19.20 when we spoke.

I know it wasn't you, Gaz. I would recognise those distinctive legs from afar (like when I saw you while standing by Clapham North station).

If it helps, I was riding a blue and black Carrera Virtuoso, wearing a long-sleeve red windproof jacket, glasses and black shorts.

Wasn't me but I agree, it does lighten up the commute when you manage a good chat

... even if it's to moan about the B*@$$%y headwind and the god of red traffic lights having something against you that day as I did with someone along the Hammersmith Road the other day

Had a nice chat on the way in this morning along CS7 with someone I know from another forum.

Always worth asking if people are on a forum. I often get puzzled looks when I ask, which tells me that they aren't.

I would speak more with Gaz and Origamist, but I can't keep up (and I'm a bit conscious about holding people up).

The only problem with striking up a conversation is that, quite often, you make a comment, and then the other person takes out their earphones and asks you to repeat it, which sometimes loses the moment, or else the lights are changing...
