charity bike ride

Hi

Can anyone offer me some advise. We have planned a charity cycle ride from Birmingham to London in July, there will be about 10 of us doing the ride. Does anyone know if we have to inform the local highways authority before we do the ride...??

Quick answer is NO - you're just riding on the public highway.

You may want to check the insurance issues relating to the organisers and riders ... the charity, if it's a "recognised/official" event, would be your first port of call to check.
