cheap fixie

I am in the market for a really cheap fixie!!! they used to sell one in sport soccer for pittance but no longer stock them any one know a good place to get one? looked on eBay and there more like 200 quid and I want to pay more like a onner! just want one to play about with really not going to be a serious lifestyle purchase (I.e I don't want to be a currier or ride in alley cats!) let me know cheers guys

Look in your local freesheet for "gents racer". It'll (hopefully) have a screw on freewheel and horizontal dropouts. Unscrew the freewheel, screw on a fixed cog. Jibble the chain line/redish the wheel as appropriate. Paint with Hammerite. Job done.

I am in the process of converting a bike to fixed at the minute just fancy a splurge on something new but not expensive!

Its a very weighty beast but for vfm, I like my Viking SS its racked up 1281miles, without problem (touch wood) but you get what you pay for!
