Checking out a new Rail trail !

Today it was off to check out The Bruce Freeman Rail Trail in Acton, Mass. Out in Central Mass where I live we have some very little pieces of paved rail trails that total to 6 miles. So I decided to get closer to some Boston suburbs where longer rail trails are scattered throughout. It was a very nice trail in very good shape and had plenty of shaded sections. It was worth the drive out.

Always nice to find a new (to you) trail. I feel the same when I come across new trails here in Maryland. Since we ditched our vehicle @ 5 years ago. I sometimes have to get creative and throw my bike on public trans to take me off somewhere farther away from we’re I live to put me closer to a different trail. Fun discovering new places to ride.

Good thing my last early ride was on a familiar trail. Just a wee bit dark at 5:30am.
