Had a problem with my big toe, started ast winter and ended up very painful.
I thought it was eczema or even ringworm but it just seemed to go away.
My big toe end swelling and what looked like some sorta very small blood blister or insect bite at the front. Was agonising if I knocked it.
Didn't mention it to the doctor so just avoided it getting really cold during the winter commute.
Just found out its a blooming Chilblain!
How can something seem so relatively innocuous sounding be so painful?!
I also thinking know what caused it... Too warm a shower too soon after a winter ride, apparently causes the constricted smaller blood vessels to open too quickly and rupture. This also often causes a blister type thing, hence my big toe!
So, remember to keep the tootsies warm and if they do get cold and white, let them pink-up properly before too oht a shower or bath.
