I do because 5'2 to 5'6 is stated range. Shame because it's a nice bike. Specialized have smaller sizes, such as Ariel

no good deals for 2019 women's bikes in my size... sadly... found lots of banging offers for my boyfriend though, we just ordered Merida Speeder 300 2019 RRP £875 for £575

I will have to stick with 2020 so its between

Boardman Hyb 8.6 or Cannondale Quick Disc 3

Good luck, yes it's great if you can land a deal, I got a carbon gravel bike last summer for £1800, RRP £2750 ^_^

Both nice bikes, but both bikes have double chainrings up front.

They give plenty of gears, but may not give a low enough ratio for a lady beginner.

Fair play to you if you can routinely push a 50 on the front - I can't.

A bike with three rings up front - known as a mountain triple - would have a small ring of around 24 or 26 teeth which would give you a good selection of low gears for hills.

Mountain triples have fallen out of fashion, but the Marin linked to earlier in the thread has one.

I think GT still routinely fit them on their budget bikes.

I've had a root around the site of discounter Start in Newcastle.

This Merida hybrid has the low gearing I speak of:

So do these mountain bikes, and all are available in small sizes.

You don't want a mountain bike, but allow fifty quid for a pair of shallow tread tyres and you have a hybrid.
