Along with gifts i think. But what was your best cycling purchase this year.Mine was a much longer seatpost purchased in October.
After having the bike over twelve months i began to worry about the strain on the weld. There was only maybe half an inch to play with.Even though the frame has a lifetime guarantee. So i spent £24-99p on one from Edinburgh cycles.Massive thing it is.Gussett is the company name.

I think my best cycling purchase this year was a pair of proper cycling glasses with my perscription as an insert. They have made cycling so much more pleasurable as I no longer return from a ride on a cold, breezy day with watery bloodshot eyes.

A four month old Specialized Allez 16 with x2 spare tyres, x4 inner tubes and a set of cat eye front and rear lights (EL135/TL150) and a cat eye vectra wireless computer all for the pricley sum of £195.
Plus I sold my upgraded Carrera Subway LTD for £300 the following day = brilliant result :wahhey:

Not much for me, probably the magicshine MJ 808E that cost about £10 after I had £30 burning a hole in paypal account and a £5 dx voucher !

I do like my replacement Ritchey WCS Logic 2 bars to replace the Comps I bent - £80 error though !

A smaller frame for the MTB. Bought from cyclechat member gds58.

It has transformed the bike, making it much more chuckable, and increasing my off-road confidence no-end.

Wow, why was it so ridiculously cheap?
[NormanD, if you come across another one like that, please would you let me know?]

The guy I bought it from, bought it on an impulse buy to use during the winter, but since he owned two carbon frame road bikes and a hybrid, he couldn't get used to it being an alu frame. Add to that the guy had more money than sense ( his words not mine), he sold it to me at the price he named and I snapped it off him.
Very nice guy too and knows his bikes, owning a cannondale and a Trek madone, he was only too happy it was going to a keen cyclist (like myself)
You can find bargins like this from time to time, If I see any others I'll let you know
