Not had time to see it yet unfortunately, but I've heard some mixed reviews... Most have been very positive though

What did you think then? A couple of friends have asked if I fancy going to see it on Friday night.

I don't find the series funny and haven't seen the first one. I assume that I'd be better off sacking them off and going to see The Rover instead?

The series IMHO was really good. But the first film was a complete let down.
I think the mistake was taking them out of their environment; it works with somes shows, but not all.
I hope this film is better, but I'm not holding my breath, judging by the last one.
As I said, I like the series, but I do think people feel compelled to like the film/s because it' currently fashionable.
There have been lots of comedies over the years that have been incredibly popular, but are crap.
The one that springs to mind for me was "Friends".

I had the same thing with the Mrs browns boys film loved the series but although the film had some funny bits in found it to be dragging on to long.

Mrs Nickyboy went with elder son and she said it was funny but a bit cringingly rude to sit through with other family members

I would ask younger son (who is 14) but he and same-age gf made it as far as the ticket inspector and was required to prove age so had to go and get his money back
