If the circuit is clear, use the circuit - if not (ie if there's another race going on), use rollers. The important thing is that you get around 20 minutes or so of uninterrupted, steady warming up, culminating in some short, hard intervals.
At Hillingdon they usually have the 'slip streamers' running before the adult races at weekends which may make circuit use difficult before racing starts.
Yeah that's right but by the time we've registered etc the tracks clear.
I done about 20 mins warm up all at about 20mph, I most likely done it all wrong but it's a learning curve.
However you warm up,if you don't finish with a few hard efforts followed by a steady warm down tat leaves you sweating freely, you have not done enough. Remember you may be sitting on the line for 5 minutes, so will not want to tighten up again, especially if the start is a bit fast.
Last week i done 20 mins warm up in zones 4/5/6 and lasted 21 mins in the race.
This week i done 10 mins warm up in zone 3/4 and finished the race(58 mins).
