No she's just gay

Not bothered about her sexuality, just don't like her masculine tones.
Another thing is the BBC roll her out for anything and everything. I like presenters to be connected to that sport or at least have a proven sports (track) record. Makes what they say more convincing.

I must've just woken up. I was having a dream it was the 21st century...

it is - that is why we have the manic presenters and Sport Relief!

That is the thing about Clare Balding, she is connected.
She asks intelligent thought out question when presenting thus ensuring viewers become more enlightened.

I don't know what it is about some presenters, sportsmen presenters included, laziness or just inept?

Well, in principle I agree but Alan Hansen I have down as the exception that proves the rule.

Well, I think that ex-sportsmen with good management have cleverly created their own niche once their main career is over.

Take Gary Linekar - terrific footballer even though he played for the wrong team but on MOTD he is 100% lazy - he puts no effort in whatsoever, adds zero value to the already weak dialogue and is just happy to pass 'Go' and pick up his £2m or whatever the Beeb throws at him every year.

It's just the way it is with TV - seems like jobs for life in the gravy train. Lots of people are at it - Newsreaders on £500k a year, the not as fit as the new lass who used to do Countdown at £900k a year, the spectacularly untalented Ant & Dec, Ross who is a sleaze-bag first magnitude, the appallingly shouty Norton etc etc.

All National Treasures/Legends/Divas etc - but not many people moan about their salaries and their inflated sense of worth as they aren't footballers - lol.
