Claude Butler bike identification

I've recently had my dads old Claude Butler bike refurbished and wondered if anyone would be able to identify it for me. I think its late 40s or early 50s.
The frame number is 941807, 40 spoke rear wheel, 32 spoke front wheel. Three speed simplex trailier gears. Many thanks for your help

The stem does look up above its limit.

the frame number would make it built in April 1949

That is about as clear as mud regarding anything Claude Butler, particularly from 1967, like my Saphire! 😆
