This is getting a tad wearisome- another close encounter and dramatic evasive maneouvre this morning. A car sitting at a side road to a housing estate pulled out just as I reached him. Again I shouted - I don't know why I do that - more of a roar than any words. He braked sharply and waved apologetically. I then realised his windows were still largely iced and he was looking out of a small hole in the middle.

All the big London rabs are traffic light controlled these days which makes them much safer, I do remember them back in the day being a bit bloody iffy on a bike

Hence me buying two extremely bright Cree lights and having them on wide strobe, really bored of idiots pulling accross my path....

To be fair though just cos they can see you does not mean they wont pull out on you!

Even when they lean out the window and say "Sorry I didnt see you!" - that one happened last week, pizza driver who wouldn't stop apoligising so I said "Don't be sorry, be careful, look out for bikes when you want to turn"

Your right though about people that pull out anyway, but less often thankfully!

Are you sure it is safe for all concerned? Perhaps the two pedestrians should also wear helmets in case one of them trips and knocks the other one over.
Good point, I hadn't thought of that Dan. I have a couple of damaged helmets in my shed from previous accidents I've had, which are probably good enough for peds. I'll do a hand-out on Monday.
