The last couple of days commute have resulted in my feet becoming freezing, expecially my big toes which are becoming white. As we are nowhere near the worst winter weather, how does everyone else keep their feet warm?
Cheers
Odd, white toes doesnt just sound like the cold to me, hows your circulation? How cold is it where you ride?
If it is the cold then I'd reccomend thick socks or overshoes, my overshoes make my feet really hot if its not pretty nippy out.
I'd also consider having A GP check out your circulation
Blade, basic question, but how are you dressing for the ride? Shorts? Base layer? Bare head?
Maybe it is Raynaud's Syndrome, however, I've played football for years during winter and never had a problem. I'll have to try some thicker socks to see if that helps.
AdamBlade, Playing football for years without issue wouldn't rule out a medical condition. If your extremities are cold and "pale" you'd be wise to look into circulation as a potential cause, not just apparel.
Best of luck
I think wearing shorts in winter is not a good idea if the temp is <10c (for example).Shorts, base layer, wind jacket and just started wearing gloves in the morning. I wear shorts all year round and wore them last year for commuting and never had a problem with anything except toes and fingers.
