Ok, thanks mcshroom, appreciate the advice. My worry is that I keep reading that Boardmans are bigger than most other manufacturers. As it's a used bike on a certain auction site I can't really try it upfront.

I suppose if it didn't fit you'd probably be able to sell it on for about what you paid for it.

Hi all. Well I got a bike! Had to significantly up my budget, £200 really wasn't going to cut the mustard for something decent.

I've ended up with a Boardman Pro Hybrid. 21" frame, which I thought would be too big for me at 5' 10", but is fine. Seat just needs to be adjusted down a couple of inches as the seller was 6'. Also needs the brakes cleaning out and maybe new pads up front as it judders badly, but apart from a couple of tiny nicks in the paint it's mint. Had to spend £380, but feel I've got a good 'un for that price hopefully.

Thanks for all the kind words of advice everyone, it really makes a difference! Wahay, I'm back on the road .

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

That's a nice looking bike. I hope you enjoy it.

All you need now is some mudguards, a basket on the front and a nice twin-set and some pearls :okay:
Handlebar tassels, you forgot to mention the tassels.

Great bike that @Pompeydave. Hubster has a Boardman (drop bar roadie) and he can't fault it. He's been whizzing about on it for 2 years now with no problems.
