Oh, that's a shame. Surprising though, are there no options using p clips or similar?

I put raceblades (actually Raceblade XL) on my Croix de Fer, because in the event that I ever do get some free time/opportunity to take it off road in any situation muddier than a gravel track, I would like to be able to remove the guards easily so they don't get the wheels clogged up with mud. So far the guards have stayed in place since I first fitted them and seem to work pretty well to prevent wet-bum when commuting in the rain

Tiagra rather than 105+ but alu frame and carbon forks so a bit lighter then the Croix de fer. Mudguard and rack ready!
Can't say I'm so keen on the look of Genesis bikes in internet pics but there is a rather smart black Day One that someone here at work rides in.

Check out rose bikes for value. If you want light aluminium is the way to go. Evans are currently doing deals on cannondales

Looks nice - was liking that or possibly the http://www.boardmanbikes.com/cx/cxr90.html , but just hoping geometry and mudguard capability are similar
