Hello,
Great forum!
In a month or two I'm going to be in the market for a new bike, and admit that I'm not on top of all the technicals about bikes (I prefer the actual cycling bit to pouring over books and websites.....!)
For years I've been riding an old road bike I bought from a lovely bike recycling scheme while at university in Bradford, but I fear it's very much coming to the end of it's days, and because my new job offers a cycle scheme I think I'll take advantage of that and get myself something that will (fingers crossed) keep me on two wheels for several years to come. I only ever really cycle on roads, and cycle at least ten miles every day, all year, all weather (around London at the moment, but I'm from hilly Bradford and will be back there and cycling at some point!) I really like the drop handlebars on my current bike, too.
A year or two ago, a friend recommended the Ribble Audax bike, which is within my budget (around £450 when factoring in the cyclescheme saving), but wondering if anyone had any other suggestions?
Cheers!
Andrew
