My commute is entirely indoors and is a 4-second walk, so I've never been convinced I'd save much time by cycling it.

If I split my mileage by transport/leisure, then it's about 40/60.

There's not much difference between commuting and leisure for me. I (generally) find the commute very relaxing.

I would say mine is 80% commuting to work or utilitarian. Helping out with the ladies group rides I consider utilitarian.
Leisure riding, when I can go wherever my fancy takes me, at speed I'm comfortable, with as many picture stops as I feel like  20%

So far this year I've had five rides on the MTBs so about 75 to 100 miles playing and commuted three times, about 36 miles. That balance will change a bit as I am now in a post that doesn't need the car to travel at all, as I no longer need to go to regular external meetings or appointments, and the commute is particularly user-friendly. I've worked out I'll save anything up to £30 in parking charges, and about the same again in diesel each week. I reckon the new ratio will be 60 commuting miles to about 20 leisure per week.

Last year probably 95% commuting, I did one 3 day tour to the south coast and that was it for leisure. So far this year, 100% commuting. If I've spent all week on my bike commuting the last thing I want to do at the weekend is get back on it again. For me the bike is a tool to get to work cheaply and keep fit at the same time, its not a leisure thing, I have plenty of other stuff I'd rather be doing at the weekend than more cycling
