Commuting lights for urban roads?

I did. Favourite subject of mine, not that I'm addicted to them

What about an Exposure Flash (Flare is the rear) - about £40 but have to factor in charger/battery.

I'm not really sure what the difference is between the Smart Lunar and Smart Polaris, one has a new design for better side on visibility, better for being seen in urban situations I suppose.
The brackets are good and you can get the 35lux one for £22, I had an older, a less bright model, is their 35lux model enough to get you through a short stretch of unlit track...anyone?

The 35 lux Lunar and the older Polaris 7 both make excellent urban commuter lights. I tend to use the Lunar myself: it's bright enough and the batteries last. It's just about bright enough for unlit sections, though maybe not at full speed.
