Your in Sheffield, the Hawaii of South Yorkshire, is the average summer temperature really that hot?
Here a very warm patch in the summer will last for about 4-6 weeks in the low to mid thirties and morning and evening commutes will get sweaty.

Hmm, I've only done the freezing cold so far, having started commuting last December. Still experienced the odd sensation of freezing fingers and toes whilst other bits are decidely sweaty though.

Colds fine, it's easy to warm yourself up!
With the exception of your eyeballs, which get frozen badly in the minuses!
