My work is approx 1 mile away and i currently walk takes about 20-25 mins. is it worth cycling to work on my cube road bike.

Yes, My work is only 1.5 miles, only a short ride but you can ride it fast.
I much prefer the ride to the walk.

Go for a ride for the same amount of time it takes to walk it.

Take the long way round,instead of 7 miles to work I make it into 15 mile ride to work.

Ride 5 miles away from home/work direction and the 6 miles back towards work. Sorted.

I live 1 mile from work and commute by bike 90%.
Usually extend commute on way in or out, depending on weather, time constraints etc etc.

Take the bike and you then have time to get home for lunch

You could always mix it up a bit and walk backwards.

mines 5 miles but i did 30 before work the other day! just stretch it out a bit!

thanks for the replies i am going to see what the best route is over the weekend and take it from there.

paul99 no i wont be getting a new bike for it. it will be the cube agree road bike
