Oaf on a Bike
Im a big fan of the Marathon+ as mine have just passed 950 miles without an issue so far on my hybrid, compared to the Kenda Kwicks that came with the bike that had around 25-30 punctures in 700 miles and desperately needed replacing.
I think the nature of the very rigid M+ tyre means they deform less, so have less friction than a normal tyre of that width, they feel fast and smooth but you can tell the weight a little uphills imho. My friends same model bike with the MTB tyres still on is much more stable on mud and snow as youd expect, but the M+ seem fine youd just have go a little slower offroad.
I think of the extra weight as just a little extra training and will probably pay off in the future when im a lighter guy on a lighter bike.
