Considerate Drivers

Our house is at a bend in the road. When we turn out of the drive, drivers observing the speed limit are no problem but speeding drivers find us impeding their progress in that they have to slow down.

Such an event happened today but I must congratulate the driver, as on tailgating me she took the time to finish her phone call and then to lean across the car to put her phone safely in her handbag BEFORE flashing her lights in an annoyed manner. Well done madam.

I did write to my MP about mobile phone use while driving and the additional danger such drivers pose to cyclists. Sadly his reply was what looked like a standard letter that failed to address the points that I made.

I suggest driving a tractor with a really big spikey agri-implement of some sort on the back, preferably dripping with unidentifiable slop of some kind. Then you can REALLY annoy the idiots, and they daren't get too close....
