Conti tyres & halfords bargains

I'm going to pick some tyres u tomorrow from Halfords for the MTB and wondered if I should stay clear of any of the Continental range.

I'm going to order online as there is a discount for 2 but it lets you collect from store.

Also, has anyone seen any bargains in there lately? I'd hate to go underprepared

I quite liked the Conti's I had on my MTB, Double Fighter II - they were fine.
I do think my current tyres are better but they are Specialized Fast Traks

I had conti tyres on my hybrid bike to get to work and back for a few years and they did me very well.

I like Continental Mountain Kings (although I have changed for some small knobbled Panaracers for the Summer). The Mountain Kings work well on loose surfaces. The only caveat is that I am a plodding cyclist, not a high speed rider. A high speed rider might have different views about their handling characteristics, but they are fine for me.....
