I was out on a club run today on the tryes that came as standard on the boardman and in the wet they were shocking , wheel spinning under power and the corners were unsafe at any sort of speed.
Can you recommend an alternative?

I have a pair of gator skins in the garage but i wanted to keep them for the commuter , looking at luganos atm.

Michelin Pro-race 3's are very light, fast comfortable and supremely grippy dry or wet. Fast wearing though compared to other tyres and slightly cut-prone, but hugely hugely grippy.H Perfect for a fast best-bike application, aving said that if there's not been much rain recently, the roads will be like skating rinks for any tyre.

They're not brand new UltraSports are they Cyber ?
I don't know if its a Conti thing, but Gators are shocking too...but only until they've scrubbed up with a few miles on them. Slippery as an eel in the wet, but then they lose that shiny surface and all's well.

They have doen around 400 miles so not new but they were shocking , a lot worse than gators which i ride every day .

Up hill i would get wheel spin and round corners i was close to making a mess in my pants .

I do have a brand new pair of gators i was saving as well so its a toss up between new gators, second hand rubinos or buy new which i cant really do atm as i have spent enough the last month.

I have just stuck Rubino Pros on my bike for winter. Never had any problems with them in the past.
