Though, would the chalk make my tyres more less grippy? I like the idea, other than there would only be ONE chalk line on my commute :wacko:

Hmm. Depositing large amounts of chalky material onto the roads. Hmmm. I wonder if there are any safety implications in this, i.e. making the road a little slipper perhaps.... hmmmm:smile:

Climbers use chalk for extra grip on rock, so I doubt it would make any difference.

Problem in the UK is our almnost daily rain. The trail would never last
 
Not a new idea!

In one of the FrankPatterson books there is a bike from the early 1900s with a tyre imprinted with letters leaving an advertising trail on the road behind!
