I only took up road cycling in June but ive been cycling about 5 times a week. After watching the tour de france i had decided to try and smash my time record in cycling to work one morning.
I had actually noticed that those grazes must be a bit nippy when the riders came off their bikes.

Anyway while throwing my new road bike into a wet bend i experienced these grazes first hand. OUCH!

Throwing the bike into a wet bend is always going to end with a sore something. Take it easy when it's wet.
I hope you road rash isn't too bad.

bike was actually fine, two small scratches and small tear in the saddle. I forgot i wasn't on my old mtb and was too busy pretending to be Lance Armstrong!
A passing motorist stopped to ask if i was ok to which i obviously replied "fine thanks mate"

As soon as he drove off i turned on the water works. Im loving the road bike though!
