What do you think? I know that once you're dead it should make no difference but it sounds horrible! Would you feel happy sending your body off in this way?

Here's the recipe - Heat one dead human to 180 degrees C in a bath of potassium hydroxide and then pressurise to 10 atmospheres. Poor the resultant sludge down the drain, remove the bones and grind to dust. Hey presto one body disposed of!

No, I think it's an abhorrent, disgusting idea! I want to have my dead body shot naked out of a cannon, live on TV, preferably in Trafalgar Square.

I loved the last bit where it said that her parents had "signalled their desire to undergo the process prior to death".

Personally, I'd prefer to be dead first before they turned me into Human Soup...

Sorry, is there a truly *pleasant* way of disposing of a dead body? (warning: sig material)

You're right, there probably is no ideal way of disposing of a corpse in our over emotional society where people shy away from the reality of death and the horrors of the world are sanitised.

Personally promession seems the best way to be dealt with. You could choose your favourite music to provide the vibrations as you emulate Count Dracula in sunlight.

Probably just translation issues. In French, for example, you would more literally 'signal your desires' rather than 'make your wishes known'.

Like sticking them in a pretty box and stuffing them underground to rot as their gut floral digests them from the inside out, for example?

(You're the one who described this method as 'horrible' in comparison to others)

Mrs R is under instructions to stick me in a cardboard box, and bury me under a fruit tree. She is also under instructions to wait until I'm dead.
