Hi,

My good bike is up the loft for the winter, so the Sectuer will get used for everything for a few months.

Usually it has cruds on. But to get it into my fiesta both wheels and the cruds have to come off. The cable ties worked OK for the first few times, but now the little relase levers are getting bent back making a tricky job more awkward, especially with cold fingers.

Are there any alternatives? Im thinking of getting a pack of normal (non release) cable ties and keeping some cutters in my car, but this is wastefull. I would really prefer something re-usable.

Any Ideas?

Paul.

Never tried it myself but just a thought.

@PaulSecteur Why don't you just invest in some RaceBlades?

Never tried them, but reports say they move and rattle. Also, they dont seem to have the coverage of the race guards.

Although, the raceblade LONG seem to be better. Never seen these before - anyone with first hand experience?

I forget not everyone has the luxury of being able to be on country lanes within a couple of minutes...

You know when you drive into a nice country village and they have a sign that says something like "Little Piddley welcomes carefull drivers", usually with a flower box underneath. Wolverhampton just has a picture of a gun with "be ready to hit the deck" written underneath.
