Not sure if it belongs in this section, but I had to put it somewhere.
I was cycling along the Cycle Superhighway 7 route late last night (outside of commuter hours) when I heard a van accelerating behind me. This was at a section not far after where all the taxis are parked over the mandatory cycle lane but before the Elephant and Castle detour. My cycle lane went straight ahead but the white van (for that was what it was) drove past me, cut me up and knocked me off my cycle. I somehow managed to hop-skip and jump onto the pavement without so much as a scratch (and so far I haven't seen any damage to my bike either). This means I can't report it to the police as a hit-and-run as that requires some sort of damage. The fact I don't know white vans registration number wouldn't help either, but I did see the company name - IPC - anyone have any brushes with them or been hit and run by their drivers?

Contact the police anyway - I've not heard that hit and runs aren't hit and runs if there is no visible damage. You know the name of the company - the company will be very keen to root out any lawbreakers in their company. Chances are they may have been looking for a way to sack that peanut for years. There will likely be CCTV footage of the incident.

Don't let the police fob you off. Persue persue persue and threaten to go to the IPCC if they don't take it seriously.

Get to it!

IPC aren't they the magazine people? Their HQ is in Blue Fin House, the large new blue building on Southwark Street
