On the offchance, do any of you still have the issue of "Cycle" magazine with Mike Burrows' article on carbon fibre in it? If so, would you be willing to scan the article for me?

I've combed through my back issues, and suspect this one has been "tidied" by Mrs Monkey ;)

I've probably got it, was it in the last year or so? If I do, I'll dig it out - It'll be next week before I can scan it. In fact, you can have the magazine if you like.

That's very kind of you Arch - I'll check back through the ones I have and figure out when it would have been published.

I'll have a look tonight. I don't think I've thrown one away for a while, but I might have... If I have, you can guarantee, it'll be that one... Anyway, I'll look.

I have the one with our very own "captain camera" which I used as a dartboard if that's any help :laugh:

Arch can also bung you a copy of the lastest Velovision, with Mike's article about his carbon fibre recumbent racer...:laugh: Might be next week, when I'm next in the office, if that's ok... If you need the CTC mag sooner, let me know...

Curse you Arch! Looks like the pile of mags sitting in our bathroom isn't going to diminish...:laugh:

Thanks everyone - Arch, a copy of Velovision would be lovely, thank you.

I won't be able to check for the date of the mag until I get home, but as I recall, it has a picture of Mr. Burrows on the cover, riding along a seafront. In the article he talks about the properties of carbon fibre, and how it can be used in bikes - I remember it being really good, and a recent discussion made me want to re-read it.

I'll just look through my back copies when I get home, no worries. They aren't filed in order or anything, so the cover is as helpful as the date!:laugh:

Thanks again - if it helps, I had a look at the back issues I can find, and it looks like the only gaps I have are;

Oct - Nov 2007
Apr - May 2008
Jun - Jul 2008

So I reckon it's one of those that has it.

I've got it, found it this morning, think it's the Apr-May 08 one. I'm not in the office again until Friday next week, so if you can wait, I'll dispatch it, along with a Velo Vision, then. It's not just me skimping on postage, it's because the office has the right sized envelopes....

Mike Burrows fixed my puncture once, you know...
