I would be grateful for your views on this.
During last couple of months, I sought your advice and we had a good discussion on sportive geometry and gear ratios etc. I decided to buy Cube Agree GTC for £935 and expecting delivery.

To complicate matters, I got an e mail from Evans to say that they have reduced the price of Fuji Gran Fondo by nearly 30%.

I am tempted to cancel the Cube order and go for Fuji.
I am aware that there will always be another similar option and I need to make up mind and buy one asap.
Just a final thought...

Personally I would stick with the Cube, but for the price of the Fuji you can go up to the cube agree gtc pro with partial 105 groupset. See

A great bike for not a lot of money.

Thanks. But I am looking for a triple or a compact which gives me a gear ratio very close to one.
GTC pro triple is not available in my size ( I am 165cm/ 5'6" and will need 53cm frame)

My approach was similar.
I want a bike with sportive geometry. We debated it at length, I had a look at race bikes. Decided on sportive geometry.
I want a bike with the lowest gear ratio approaching nearly one. Therefore the triple was the obvious choice but I learned that I can achieve the same with a larger cassette in the back going up to 30T or atleast one where I can easily upgrade later.
I had no fixed budget but was happy to see what I get for my money. For example, I can get Fuji Gran Fondo with 105 set but the difference in price is more than 300. So it is not really worth it.

Now i am confused. The fuji you listed has tiagra not 105, and is more expensive than the cube. I am not sure but i think the cube compacts are sold with 12-28t and 50-34 at the front. I doubt you would need more than that, but if you do then teiple would be the way to go. I think the standard short cage derailleurs can take up to 30t. You could always ask the shop to swap out the 28t cassette for a 30t one, but i am not sure if that is necessary. Hope this helps.
