I'm fully ambulant and have been back at work for the past five weeks or so.

I'll be getting out on one of my bikes this week for the first time since Oct 1st now that I can bend my lower leg far enough to be able to pedal.

I'm going to make an appointment to see my GP to see how long I can expect the swelling to last for and if I can do anything to accelerate the permanent deflation of my left calf. I'm reluctant to wear my kilt because of my asymmetric legs.

it was

The curry was a Korma variant but was a tad more savoury through the addition of cumin seeds. It was the perfect foil for Christmas cake.
Sugar and spice and all things nice...that's what breakfasts are made of.

Last night I was looking for some dried fenugreek leaves in the darkest corners of the cupboards. I asked my wife if we had any and she said,

'Sikh and ye shall find.'

It's all fenugreek to me.

My Dad used to have fried christmas pud and bacon on boxing day for brekkie. I tried it for the first time last year and it's not at all bad.

Fried christmas pud...mmmm...

I've got friends coming round this morning for a big fry up. I went to my favourite butcher in Boroughbridge and picked up some of his dry cured bacon, black pud, cracked pepper sausages along with a selection of pies. It will be the last but one fry up before the end of the year.

Boxing day has been family fry up day for at least a decade and the offspring look forward to it as much as the Christmas dinner.
