CX and Garmin 800

I'm getting a CX bike very soon.. I already have a garmin edge 800 and want to be able to use it on both bikes.. On the CX bike I won't be worried about cadence - I will only care for mph and total mileage.. Do I just need another garmin mount or do I need any magnets on the spokes too?

Garmin doesn't work off magnets it is GPS, So you can use it on both bikes - just set up another profile page for your second bike and select that before you ride

My Garmin came with two mounts in the box. Check where you put the spare stuff you got.

The Garmin Edge 800 does use magnets aswell as GPS but you can use it solely on GPS.

Does in part; it doesn't need it but it reads from the sensor; for example on Tuesday night I was getting dodgy speed readings from the sensor and switched it off and used the gps istead.

Ooh yes I have a spare!! Just got to consult the manual and set it up for the new bike - although I think it will be the same size wheels..

Road bike + cyclecross are the same size rims I think..

Thank you all very exciting times - never ridden a cyclocross before! Got to wait until the end of November for it to arrive which is ages away!!!
