I recently bought a Veloset computer off Ebay. I hate it, and I don't like the way you have to remember to restart it after a few minutes off the bike.

I used to have a computer that started automatically when the wheel went round. Stop for lunch, remount the bike and the computer just carried on from where I left off. Trouble is I cannot remember the make. Does such a thing still exist? Just to clarify, I don't have an iPhone or a pukkha bike GPS and have no intention of buying such gadgetry.

Thanks for suggestions.

My Cateye Vectra Wireless (no longer produced) has this function, so it would make sense that other Cateye computers also do.

Thanks all. It seems I bought the one make without auto stop/start! I missed the Aldi one. I will have a drive over tomorrow to my nearest Aldi and see if they have any left. Failing that Ebay have loads of Cateye's so should be easy to get fixed up.

Aldi one bought and fitted. Does all I want and the wheel rotation wakes it up so can't be bad for a few pennies off a fiver.
