Cycle map apps

Does anyone know of any apps that allow you to download routes, create your own routes etc.

And then you can use to navigate on whilst cycling?

Have a look at http://www.viewranger.com/en-gb only used it the once but it did the job

PC, using an iphone but would like to do some route mapping on the PC if possible then download to the app/iphone.

I have mapmyride which works in the opposite way and is brilliant but i'd like to have the function to route my own rides onto it and use it like a GPS

yeah, go to the website and login. then click create map. once youve saved it, the iphone app will sync with it and voila

they do different things.

personally I dont like the mapmyride iphone app, but the website is second to none for planning routes. Strava is more for tracking and segment hunting and a bit of social, endo does tracking and much more social.

as far as apps go, try cyclemeter. I found it much better than the mapmyride app (better battery life, more customisable, much more data). to get a gpx route into it, just email yourself and open it on the iphone, itll give you an option to open it in cyclemeter.
