There's plenty of room for 3 bikes on their trains & at that time in the morning I wouldn't imagine it will be too busy. You can call them to make a bike reservation, but dont be put off if they say there is only 1 space available, some trains out of Hull only have 1 space available to reserve for bikes

The 06:55 might well be full of commuters with bikes...

I managed to squeeze my bike into the two bike space on a TransPennine Train from Darlington to Leeds.

Everything depends on the mood of the guard and how much of a jobsworth (s)he is.

I've only witnessed evictions and refusals in Scotland.

I failed to get on a train from Leeds once because it was physically full - there wasn't actually room for me to get on with my bike. That was just after a lot of people had finished work and the next train was half empty.

I saw some evictions and refusals between Harrogate and Leeds a couple of years ago, my friend met the same conductor a few weeks later between M/C and Brum and from his description I was able to recognise her.
She was fantastic, firm but fair.

Not much help to you though Postman.

This happened to me at the end of July when I didn't book a cycle space on the train traveling between Ardgay and Inverness, and as it was a Sunday there were no other trains that day. That meant a 36 mile ride to Inverness on top of the 36 miles I had already ridden to the station.

Only ever had a problem with trains to/from Manchester Airport in July-August where there's been so many people with huge cases that there was no way to get a bike on. Have never booked a bike on TPE and never been asked for a reservation for it either. IME it's only a problem if the train is crowded.
If the OP is going out of Leeds at 0655 there should not be a problem. Still, worth checking with TPE staff at the tation.
