During my accident enforced abstinence from cycling and bearing in mind my brand new Condor is awaiting me at the shop I thought I'd investigate cycle trainers.

The physio actually agrees with me about the theory so I've looking at the Tacx i magic.

In browsing I came across this video which made me think of an accident just waiting to happen

Rollers should always be used next to a wall or somewhere sturdy so you can grap onto something if you flounder. Never used them myself, too gutless.

The tacx trainers are supposed to be very good. Try reading a few reviews (I think there were a couple on the bikeradar site for one, and some youtube stuff again). I think trainers are a lot better if you spend a decent amount of money on one as a cheap one seems to be like a cheap bike...

I bought a Giant one for about £130 that was on discount and I've found it a bit easy to use. Nothing like the road.

what's wrong with just going outside.....?

Sorry, but I've never actually seen them like that...I've seen the ones that you clip a wheel into or something. Still looks pretty boring...I would have a go as it could be funny, but past that.
