Hove actually...
Ok, not sure what I'm doing wrong with cyclestreets but I'm not getting my route! I can plot where I'm leaving from and where I want to go, and those lovely little arrows appear..and thats it! I thought it did a bit more than that. It certainly doesn't ask me too choose the type of route, or anything else (in fact, reading my atlas does the same thing pretty much) and I'm getting really frustrated!

It looks like it should be easy to use so don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've checked out lots of other bike route finders but this is the one that I like the look of the most..if I could get it to do what it says on the tin!!

If anyone has any pointers it would be much appreciated. Its now become a challenge that I just have to win :becool:

no idea what it is but have you tried it in Firefox and IE, got Flash, Quicktime and Java etc all installed?

I've never had a problem with it, you just click on the map the start of your route 'going from' (green flag), then click on the map the end of your route 'going to' (red flag), change the speed if necessary (by default its cruising 12mph) and then click on 'plan this journey' you then have 3 tabs to select from 'Fastest route', 'Balanced route' or 'Quietest route'.

Just had a look - it has some interesting ideas about cycle routes which include many miles of (muddy and hilly) footpath for the local trip I fed it...

I've just had a look and found the opposite. It completely ignores the fact that there's an enormous park next to me and a canal towpath and takes me down some horribly busy roads even when you choose "quietest route".
