That's flipping mental. I reckon I could do that on the flat (yes, even the bends - cycling no-handed round bends isn't too difficult with a bit of practice) but doing it on a twisty mountain descent is just lunacy. But brilliant!

Took me a while to work out how he was controlling his speed - then I noticed he was jamming his foot against the rear wheel. That's not a technique I've mastered. Descending no-handed on fixed is OK because you can use your legs to brake, though I'd still be wary about trying it on a road like that.

I got home all the way from school no handed, it was a challenge I gave myself which was a three mile cycle, and it was on my old hurcules hunter. Much like yourself now though, too risky

Cycling no handed only counts if you can do it uphill or off road

Holy crap!!! I can ride most bikes no-handed, but I wouldn't chance it down there.
I'm now going to have to try making it to work and back no-hands...

It's a childhood skill I've never lost, (along with wheelies*), but I don't have the confidence I did back in the day. I only do it now through necessity, never showboating. I might do it to stretch my back out if I've been for a long ride, or while I get something out of my jersey

*I don't wheelie these days though, partly due to not having a suitable bike, and partly due to being clipped in. I tried it a few years ago on an MTB I had with SPD's, but I popped it a bit too high, couldn't get my foot out in time and landed on the bones of my @rse:wacko:
