Hi all just dropping a link in for a blog I'm attempting to do on my year trying to road race. Feedback welcome, I'm no journalist so it might not be the best but I've read a few and they seem a good read so though I'd give it a go! Cheers

Hope it goes well. I may be at the Woolly Mamil with my 13yo but that's most likely to be on the 27th Jan. He'll be racing, not me, as I'm not medically fit yet. If we're there he'll be on a Cervelo S3 in Kirklees Cycling Academy kit.

My advice? Get as many rides in you can with others at a good pace. Is there a local chain gang you can join in with?

Cheers I have read the race diary on road cycling uk, it was a good read. I've been doing a chain gang all last year but it's stopped now. Ive been going out with a few lads from Newport Shropshire cc and there pace was high!. I've booked the 20th and 3rd Feb couldn't book all four as budget won't stretch that far!

It was a good read! The text is very blocky though, maybe use some more paragraphs but apart from that I enjoyed your first post.

Good stuff. You've got yourself some points on the board. Rollers would help with warming up.
