I'd be interested to see what climbs they list in East Yorks, Hanging Grimston is reportedly one of the worst, but on the Big G sportive there was one later on that was steeper & had more of my mates off than HG :okay:
& is Windy Bank listed in Calderdale? It may not be as steep as I remember, but my Mum & Dad came off the back off my Dad's Honda C90 going up it many years ago

Windy bank is fairly local to me, short sharp and pretty steep but i would say Boothtown to Queensbury road is steeper and a lot longer.

I lived in Queensbury until I was about 17, but didn't often cycle into Halifax, but wherever I went it was always a long steep hill home :okay:

Escaping Pateley Bridge is horrid whichever way you go.

The village in the sky!
I lived in relatively low lying Illingworth

If I'm heading up to Haworth, for the http://woodentops.org.uk/index.php?topic=home fell-races, I cut through Wibsey, Clayton Heights, Queensbury
I always smile though, up at Mountain, with the Bradford Sub-Aqua Club on a hill-top...................

Can be a good view up there, if it's clear
Queensbury, towards Thornton
