I've been spending about a week working on awareness and promotional posters for cycling. I decided to start doing this after last weeks road rage, the fact Mum was doored, and how several new riders have come up to me and said "I dont know why I didnt start riding sooner!"
When you look at a poster on a billboard it looks easy, but doing it in practice turns out to be a nightmare. Its easy to make something that looks cack or confused. I've always been into art and photography and feel this is a bit of an extension of that.

The above intends to highlight some of the health benefits. I've done a version 2 that basically says "no fuel costs".

I've learned that colour and simplicity is my friend.

..but that sometimes removing the bike from the image makes a stronger point.
Anyone else ever worked on posters like this? My intention is that these can be printed off by other riders and put on the workplace wall, cycle sheds etc. The above are put up under creative commons (non-commercial and no derivatives for now). I also like the idea that riders can facebook and tweet the images - several people have shared them around already.
