I'm trying to develop more cycling gear options for the rain: specifically cycling shorts for the rain! After many years of biking, and being a part of the biker community, I have a general idea of what should be available for the public; but I want your ideas as well! I completed your survey but there are already shorts designed for cycling in the rain. Lycra. Good stuff it is. Get's wet then dries out quickly.

I've got Birk rain shorts http://www.birksport.no/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=870_3_135&products_id=5748 100% nylon.

As Ian says, lycra is fine, but these keep me drier and warmer on my lower back.
