Cyclist Assault in Leith

This is not really a commuting story but the police are appealing for witnesses to an unprovoked attack on a cyclist in Leith.

As Col said, it could have been mistaken identity. But then again, knowing the area and some of the trogolodytes that live around here, I wouldn't rule out them just deciding to have a little 'fun' and picking on a cyclist.

Not unknown for people round here to just pick a stranger at random and beat the living daylights out of them. Just for a laugh, likesay; ken ?

Not nice. In some ways I hope there is more to this story. It's not nice to think that this type of attack is just random.

Bloody hell I though it was bad enough in some places here. Not too long ago there was a stupid thing a car load of lads did in a car where they pull up and ask someone a question, maybe directions, and when he got close enough they punched him just for a laugh, if I remember right he was in a serious way or even worse as he hit his head when he fell, some real idiots out there .
