Cyclist near miss with bus

Jeez that was close. The driver of that bus needs a good talking to about the speed that proper cyclists normally travel at.
The guy on the bike did well to stop in time though.

I tend to look with my eyes....................not my entire head FFS.

You keep you head dead ahead and swivel your eyes? This guy passed 2 side turning in this short clip and his noggin didn't deviate a fraction.

I noticed him not looking behind approaching the pinch point - it's something I am guilty of doing too. But ... perhaps just as well in this instance that he didn't "get distracted"?

You've have to be extremely distracted to not notice an 11 metre long moving object.

We can say whatever we want about the cyclist not looking left / right / behind etc but at the end of the day it is their right of way. The bus has to give way to the bike, as per the road markings. Not trying to be difficult but i suspect there would have been a different response all round if the bus driver had pulled out on a HGV and been broadsided by that.
Looks like another case of "sorry i didn't see you" and a lucky escape to me.
